The HX 4.2 is a great bang for the buck reel, it's great for light trolling, yoyo irons, 50-60lb live bait setups and even casting larger lures like the guys in Hawaii do for ulua. These will hold 500 yards of 80lb line or about 300 with a 100 yard topshot of 60lb mono. The main limitation of these reels is the drag, you'll want to fish 60lb and down or step up to a Raptor model to get more performance.
Even though it's a single speed it has a very low gear ratio like some of the older Penn Senators or other classic reels making it great for pulling big fish out of structure or retrieving big sinkers on bottom fishing rigs. Like almost every Avet reel these come with a clamp.
